Mr. Broyles graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering. He has over 35 years of structural consulting experience. Throughout his career, he has provided many structural designs covering a vast number of fields including federal, commercial, educational, and historical. He is experienced with the current code requirements including Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), 2015 Virginia Construction Code, International Building Codes (IBC), American Society of Civil Engineer Codes (ASCE 7), and Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection. In addition, he is registered in 44 states across the country.

Mr. Whitaker graduated from Penn State University in 2006 with his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architectural Engineering. He has experience in the design and construction administration for various types of structural engineering projects.  Some of his project included the rehabilitation/ renovations to the Cavalier Hotel at the Virginia Beach oceanfront, building evaluation of historic buildings, seismic and wind evaluations and upgrades, multi-story buildings, building additions, parking garages, mixed use office buildings, federal projects, grade school and higher education facilities on many different campuses.  He is proficient in the design of structures constructed of cold-formed metal framing, concrete, masonry, steel, and wood materials and is well versed with the current code requirements. Mr. Whitaker received his Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in 2010 and his Structural Engineers (S.E.) License in 2019.  He became the WV Branch Manager in the summer of 2020.

Mr. Yost is an Old Dominion University graduate with a Bachelors in Civil Engineering and a Minor in Engineering Management. He has experience with AutoCAD, Tekla, Tedds, and Inventor. While attending ODU, he participated in ASCE Concrete canoe and AISC Steel bridge design teams. He has experience with evaluation and renovations of existing buildings and other site survey projects.  He is familiar with many different methods of construction. 

Mr. Richardson graduated from Old Dominion University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a minor in Engineering Management. He has intermediate experience in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D and Autodesk Inventor. Mr. Richardson plans on continuing his education to receive his master’s degree in Structural Engineering. On his time off, he likes to stay active by competing in sports and traveling with family and friends.

​Mr. McCall graduated from Old Dominion University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a minor in environmental engineering. He has intermediate experience using AutoCAD and SAP 2000. His passion for structural engineering began during his high school years, where he was fascinated by complex highway interchanges and towering buildings in the city. He plans on continuing his education to receive his master’s degree in civil engineering. During his free time, he enjoys watching football, golf, baseball, swimming, listening to music, golfing and saltwater fishing.

Mr. Harkins has over 20 years of experience in the field of Computer Aided Drafting. In conjunction to his experience in AutoCAD, he has experience in Revit since 2008 and is responsible for managing the Revit operations at Broyles and Associates. He is an Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit Structure 2015. He has worked on commercial, industrial, residential, educational, federal, medical and civil projects. His responsibilities include setup, review, and coordination of both CAD and Revit project drawings. In 2020, he obtained his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, which is an industry recognized credential for project managers. PMP demonstrates the experience, education, skill and competency required to lead and direct projects. PMP is the most sought after certification administered by the Project Management Institute (PMI)

Mr. Gainer has over 25 years of experience in the field of Computer Aided Drafting and is responsible for managing the AutoCad operations at Broyles and Associates.. In addition to his AutoCAD work, he has experience in Revit since 2007. He has worked on commercial, industrial, residential, educational, and federal projects. His responsibilities include setup, review, and coordination of both CAD and Revit project drawings.
